Santa Visit 2016

We had our Santa visit in early December this year.  Mrs. Claus may or may not have had a little work done since the parade.
Santa talked us into a family photo that we were not anticipating.
Buddy Bear came home from the daycare for the weekend, which we were also not anticipating.
It was tough to get him to sit out of the pictures, but we managed to get him on the sidelines.
 Silly Rudolph noses.
 Sweet brothers.
Impromptu family photo...we were not exactly wardrobe ready, but it worked.  We managed to get the pictures ahead of the rainstorm that was about to hit.
I hope they always love each other this much.
 Handsome Dean.
 Handsome Beau.
We capped off the Santa visit with a carriage ride.
Rosie the horse was our "Driver."
We explored the big tree and all the ornaments.
Sweet brothers.

Merry Christmas to All!!!

Silent night, Jedi knight

The Christmas Eve service concludes with a Silent Night song with glow sticks instead of candles.  All glow sticks are really just short light sabers to boys.
The sweater brothers hugging it out.
Our little family.
It's so hard to get everyone to look at the camera and smile at the same time!

Beau put himself to bed at 6 pm Christmas Eve, so there are really no more pictures of the evening. He was wiped out after all that cameling.  He needed energy for all the present unwrapping the next morning!  Dean stayed up and watched Elf.  He remembered the cookies and milk for Santa, the reindeer and the elf food.  We read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and then it was off to bed for him, too.

Merry Christmas Eve!

Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve, we went to the Children's service.

They do a live nativity.  Dean was Joseph and Beau was a...

Camel.  It was camel or nothing for the him.  Thank goodness there was a camel costume left.

The camels arrive with the wise men.  So, they are a little elevated in the barn animal manger hierarchy.  Notice the cute angels?  One angel had a little drama when she wouldn't leave her snack behind.  Even angels can get hangry from time to time.

It was a cute service that incorporated the birth story and some traditional songs.

The boys really enjoyed it.
